Visited on 30 Sep 2017 (Sat) for their Ala Carte Dinner. The newly refurbished La Brasserie has reopened its doors since mid June 2017. Located at the heart of the historically rich Fullerton Heritage precinct, with spectacular views of the Marina Bay waterfront, La Brasserie charms with its unrivalled setting and finely curated menu of French ‘cuisine du soleil’ classics, which feature lighter Mediterranean flavours and touches.

The high ceiling of the dining hall gives this restaurant a really grand feeling, a signature of the architecture of Fullerton hotel.


Complimentary freshly-baked baguettes and sourdoughs, served with duck rillette and butter.


French Soda:
Lychee Madness ($6 Nett)
I enjoyed this glass of lychee syrup with fresh lime juice, fresh lychee juice and artisanal soda!


Hot Smoked Balik Salmon ($21++)
This is my favourite starter here! New Zealand King Salmon cured with salt and smoked with Japanese binchotan charcoal, sous vide and torched. Complemented so well with the fennel, red onion compote, dill, creme fraiche and my favourite scotch eggs. Must order!


Galette - La Complete ($23++)
(Gluten-free Savoury Buckwheat Crepes)
The ingredients inside the galette are Paris Ham, Gruyère Cheese and Organic Egg. The buckwheat crepe had a wonderful aroma and was lightly crisp on the outside. The gruyère cheese was melt in the mouth and not forgetting the Paris ham, held the entire dish together with its savoury taste. Look at the huge portion, this is one of their cheaper food item but able to make you feel satisfied and full too. Highly recommended!



Supreme De Canard Confit ($39++)
The duck confit is one of their signature dishes. I tried this dish due to the rave reviews on it. However, I was a tad disappointed as the meat was overcooked and didn't have the "slide off the bone" texture I was expecting on that night. But the taste itself was really great, just the overall texture a little let down.


Grand Marnier Souffle ($18++)
The souffle was generally good. The texture was quite soft, served alongside was the vanilla ice-cream and warm chocolate sauce. The condiments added a different layer of taste to the dessert. Shown on the left were complimentary items for that day.

Overall Impression: The service here was of course, top notched! The food was quite good overall. The price is on the high side, I will definitely recommend La Brasserie if you're looking for a cosy fine-dining restaurant for any special occasions.

Visited on 12 Sep 2016 (Mon - Public Holiday). Saveur is a casual dining restaurant that serves High Quality French Cusine at very affordable prices! They're located at outside Far East Plaza facing the road.



This is a very casual dining restaurant with very simple settings and all the tables are very close to each other, so this place is more for family or friends rather than couples on a date, unless you don't mind the table beside can hear your conversation. Note: This is not an atas restaurant.

We ordered 1 set of Three Course Set Dinner

Starter: 
Salmon Confit
We were really startled by this salmon confit. It was extremely tender, juicy and melt in the mouth!!! Don't worry this was not raw, it's cooked, yet so soft... Complemented so well with salty seaweed and chives atop to enhance the whole taste! Served alongside was the refreshing apple and fennel salad. The BEST Starter that we had in our foodie life!


Main Course: 
Half Oven Roasted Chicken
Omg we were blown away by this dish too. I never thought an oven roasted chicken can be this amazing! The sauce that they used for marinating the chicken was utterly awesome that will make you lingering for more. The meat was very tender including the breast meat, as most chicken breast meat at other places were quite tough. The chicken was roasted to perfection! The half portion chicken was quite big too. Overall, thumbs up for this dish!

Dessert: 
Chocolate & Hazelnut
Chocolate mousse with crushed hazelnut, broken raspberries, chocolate tuile and hazelnut praline. This chocolate dessert was very rich but thankfully there were crushed hazelnut and broken raspberries on it to give u a rich chocolate with sourness taste to relieve some richness.

Top Up $3++ for Coffee
They served those very normal type of coffee..

Mushroom Soup ($4.90++)
I thought the mushroom soup was those common creamy mushroom soup that you can find anywhere. So I was really delighted to see this mushroom soup was served like a cappuccino in a cup. This warm and comforting soup inside was thick and robust! Must try!

Duck Confit ($14.90++)
This is their signature dish at Saveur. We usually have to pay double of this price for duck confit at most restaurants, so it's really value for money to eat quite high quality duck confit here for only $14.90++. The meat of the duck confit was a tad tough on certain part while some were really very tender. The exterior skin was crispy with very nice marinated taste. I really love their mashed potato and their delicious sauteed mushrooms here too!

Overall Impression: The staff here were all very young teenagers with good and polite service, but we were unfortunately served by an auntie whose service was like those kopitiam service - unrefined, no smile, served the dish on your table in a rough manner. We were quite shocked to see this kind of service at Saveur. So try to get the service from those young staff if possible. 

I really have no complaint about their food quality. Every single dish is well-executed and has caught our heart. We usually have to dress up in formal wear to go fine dining restaurants to have fine dining food. But at saveur, you can wear whatever you want, even bermudas while enjoying your fine-dining food. Haha!

There is no other better place that serves high quality french food at such wallet-friendly prices. If you have a budget for celebration or just want to have some good food but don't want to break your wallet, this is the place for you. But do note that there is no ambience here and will be noisy when it's crowded. This place is always full house especially dinner time. Enjoy the good food and do make your reservations online early!

Visited on 13 March 2016 (Sun). If you're looking for a lovely and romantic place, don't mind in an alfresco setting, (notwithstanding the hot weather in Singapore), Pool Grill @Marriott Hotel definitely is the ultimate poolside luxury for you. Enjoy a relaxing brunch, lunch or dinner with their resort style background music...They have a big and strong ceiling fan, so you will not feel that warm after some time.











Strawberry Mint Lemonade
(Non-Alcoholic Cocktail)
I think this will be a popular drink for the ladies! A refreshing fruity, sweet and tangy drink to sip on during a hot day. Love it!



Complimentary warm Foccacia bread to kick off the meal! 





Norwegian Salmon ($32++)

A generous, thick steak of norwegian served with hierloom tomato sauce vierge. Salmon skin was seared crisp and cooked to medium. Lightly flavoured so you can taste the freshness of the salmon itself. A little bland for me personally, but otherwise fresh and succulent.


Pan-Fried Cod Fish ($36++)


This was Da Bomb! I can tell you this was really the BEST Cod Fish that I had so far. The exterior was fried to perfection, extremely crisp, yet the meat remained tender and juicy. The texture was the perfect consistency. The natural sweetness of the cod went so well with the buttery shiraz reduction sauce. Just heavenly...This was too good that the staff told me they only left with the last piece that evening so I asked the staff to quickly key in this order immediately for me! Kiasu me.. Haha.. So happy that I managed to try this! :)






Dessert: Chocolate Tart, Salted Caramel, White Coffee Ice-Cream
As their popular desserts like Bombe Alaska and Banoffee were not available that day, so I decided to try their chocolate tart.  I like the crunchy biscuit base with the chocolate tart but the chocolate was a tad too solid. The white coffee ice-cream was very light. Overall still quite nice when you have it together with the biscuit crumbs aside!

Overall Impression: Service here was polite and good! I was very satisfied with the high quality food and dessert here! Ambience was very relaxing as the songs that they played here were soothing resort style music. Prices are quite steep for ala carte order. Go for their set lunch or set dinner with a smaller portion but affordable prices if you have a budget. This place is great for special occasions (Provided you don't mind it's non-aircon) Otherwise come here for their cocktails!
