Bakerzin at Vivo City (1 Harbourfront Walk #01-207 Singapore 098585) Reservation on Weekdays only: 6438 8700

Visited on 23 Aug 2014 (Sat). Bakerzin has launched new menu somewhere in 2014 which i think it's quite a good change. They have a wide selection of very delectable desserts that made me feel like trying them all. I will try one by one and update here each time i'm there! :P

See... so many Mouthwatering desserts

Tiramisu Cafecinno ($5.90++)

Wow this was very creative! It my first time having Tiramisu with Coffee, they complemented so well! The aroma was so great with cocoa powder atop! Addicted to this.. Must Order!!!

Baked Pork Sausages ($11.90++)
My partner said this was very good and i tried one bite, the taste was great but i'm not a sausage fan.. haha.. I like the mashed potato, the texture everything was just right, not too sticky..

Grilled Barramundi ($17.90++)
I never expected that Bakerzin can cook such a nice grilled barramundi! The exterior skin was very very crispy and the creamy sauce was fantastic!!! I wish they can put more sauce... The meat was a tad not tender enough otherwise it will be perfect! Thumbs up for this dish!

Mango-Passion Souffle ($10.90++)
Served with homemade chocolate ice-cream. The sourness of the mango-passion souffle was quite mild so not to worry, it has a refreshing taste with good quality chocolate ice-cream. The souffle was quite soft but the top texture was a tad rough, not as smooth as other souffles that i've tried before... Still need some improvements. I personally love the souffle from Hoshino Coffee. But overall this dessert still tasted quite nice! Note: Baking time for 15mins.

Note: No complimentary water here. Water is chargeable at $0.30++ per glass.

Hardly find cafes with pretty good service besides TCC. So i was quite impressed with the service here. Food & dessert quality were around slightly above average quality. But the main course selection was quite limited as i don't like pasta/burgers. So will only come back again to have the barramundi and try their other desserts again! Bakerzin definitely worth a revisit! :)

Open Daily: 11.30am - 10pm

Visited on 16th Aug 2014 (Sat). This is a new addition hidden gem cafe nestled in Serangoon area. It's at the last corner among the row of shophouses. Though the location is not very convenient, don't be surprised that you will see customers keep coming in specially by taxi or driving. What makes this place so popular?

Of course it's their bold food creation! So far this is the first cafe that can impress me as i usually find cafe food very boring. But here, most of the food are quite interesting that i think it's not common to find at other cafes. If you're those adventurous type, come & try their special food items here! Let's see the photos below!

Ample carpark space here during daytime. Not sure of night time..

I wonder why more & more cafes like to hang bicycle for display? LoL.. You will see many mini ladders on the ceiling too!

The cafe is more to Rustic feel... These are the few front seats..

And these are the seats behind, more for bigger groups...

The sliced cake counter..

Flat White - $5++
Love their flat white - Creamy, very aromatic and tasted good!

Smoked Salmon & Cheese Toast - $12.90++

Scramble eggs with smoked salmon & cream cheese served on a buttered toast with grilled tomatoes & tomato marmalade. My first time to see smoked salmon toast served on a pizza board, very unique style! They cut the toast into two pieces to place the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. The scrambled was a tad too creamy & it would be good if they can put in more smoked salmon and this will be perfect! A nice brunch though!

Bangkok Toast ($10.90++)

Cinnamon thick sweet brioche toast with matcha green tea custard, served with Thai milk tea ice-cream. This is their most popular dessert there that you have to order! I never expected that cinnamon, matcha and milk tea can blend together so well! I prefer the exterior of cinnamon toast than the interior as i find it more fragrant at the exterior. I dip the toast with the very very mild matcha taste custard and find it quite nice. The Thai milk tea ice-cream was fantastic to me, you can really taste the milk tea in ice-cream form! Heavenly matched dessert!

Baked Alaska ($10.90++)

Black sesame sponge cake and Matcha green tea ice-cream topped with Italian meringue and drizzle of cranberry glaze. The sesame sponge cake was quite hard and dry that ruined the whole taste. I don't really like the taste of this combination of black sesame and matcha in baked alaska so this dessert was out for me.

Do try their Roasted Duck Pancake with Garlic Hoisin Crispy Egg Pancake, heard that it's good too! Will try this at my next visit! :)

The food and dessert was quite good here. Service was average without any smile.. I think the staff were probably quite stressed to handle many early bird customers including me once they opened at 11am. Can you imagine the cafe was almost full within 30mins! The only disappointment is this cafe charged both 10% service charge and 7% GST as some small cafes they don't charge these.. Nevertheless, this will not stop me from visiting as long as they can create more special food!

(Closed down) Eggs & Berries Toast Junction (163 Tanglin Rd - Tanglin Mall, #03-18) Enquiries: 6836 3112

Visited on 9th Aug 2014 (Sat). Eggs & Berries collaborated with Toast Junction, has opened a new outlet at Tanglin Mall in July 2014. Most of the food menu and prices here are different from other Eggs & Berries outlets. The prices here are more cheaper and affordable with very cosy ambience too. They serve all day breakfast!

You will pass by this open concept kitchen as you walk into the restaurant..

I love the changing colour of LED lights here! Night time will be very romantic!

Eggs Benedict with English Muffins & Bacon ($12.90++) Add $1 only when i ordered Yuan Yang = Total $13.90++

The eggs benedict were poached to almost perfecton. Outside was a little over-cooked with runny yolk inside! The eggs benedict with ham here were really big compared to the ones at Changi City Point outlet. Of course the quality at Changi City Point is more premium than here as it costs $18.90++ over there with parma ham and caviar.

Fried Bee Hoon with Sambal Chilli ($3.90++)
Add $0.70 only when i ordered Kopi = Total $4.60++
I love their fried bee hoon. It was so much nicer than my house kopitiam! Very aromatic with great sambal chilli. The egg was also very well cooked, the yolk inside was half cooked.

Home made Kaya & Butter Toast ($2.90++)

I like toast with Green Kaya, taste extremely nice!

Our brunch only costs $25 including 10% service charge + 7% GST for 2 persons at such a cosy and quiet ambience that was really worth it! This place will be my frequent venue for breakfast or brunch! :)
