Prego has been around for so long since 2007 and we finally decided to give it a try on their Sunday Brunch Buffet. 

Prego is an Italian Trattoria and is one of Singapore’s favourite Italian restaurants that offer diners an authentic Italian family style dining experience. Chef Antonio Facchinetti has recently revamped the whole menu. Pamper your palates with a refreshing Italian Sunday Brunch featuring a lavish array of marinated antipasti, Italian farm cheeses, as well as pasta and risotto prepared à la minute. 

A pleasant culinary surprise awaits as the seasonal bars showcasing classic favourites like Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with Truffle Bread Crumble changes every month. From perfectly-grilled Salmon Fillet to Lamb Rack and Beef Sirloin, take your pick at the ‘live’ station and delight in succulent meats and seafood at leisure, as their master chefs serve you at your table. Other highlights include a seasonal dessert bar and ‘live’ station that showcases the best Italian produce. 

Waiting area - You can take a seat at the sofa if you're early. Their procedure here: Tell them your reservation details upon arrival and they will write on a small paper at their counter to note the queue order.

And this is the 3rd seating area, with sofa and non-sofa seats. Here is also where the live band section is, for those who love to listen to live music performances while eating. And surprisingly, although we were sitting in front of the live band, it was not noisy at all. We can still comfortably hear each other talking. The music volume was not loud so don't be afraid to sit here. 

An awesome live performance by the band of that day, with Vocalist - Ms Lou Pei Xin from the Channel 5 singing competition "The Final 1 - Season 2".  Very soothing vocals! It was really a pleasure to listen to while enjoying the buffet!

The pork ribs here really blew us away! They were very tender and tasty! The meat just slides off the bones!!! Must-Try!

Overall Impression: It depends on which staff serving you, some were infectiously cheery while some were without any smile. We were lucky to be served by a staff "Linda" who was very efficient and always with a smile on 11 Sep 2016!

We were really awed by the huge place and the huge food selection here, with many antipasti, tasty salad, ala-carte pasta and so many other main dishes to choose from. We didn't have enough stomach space to try out their many pasta dishes as pasta are very filling but it's their signature, so do try their pasta if you can! Desserts were mostly very good too! Overall, good quality food and desserts at Prego!

They used to have a live band that made the whole dining experience a very great one. Now without the live band seemed a tad dull. Nevertheless, the nice food and desserts still made a very enjoyable Sunday Brunch for our dining experience here. Do give it a try if you're craving for some authentic Italian cuisine!

Visited on 25 Dec 2015. My Dining room serves authentic Hong Kong cuisine with casual and fine dining ambience. I purchased the deal.com voucher in Dec 2015 to sample the quality of their dishes.

There are three 2 seater table at the front for people who want to be away from noisy groups..

Fish Slices Stewed with Beer in Hot Stone Pot

This was a very addictive broth as it was stewed with beer for hours. You will find the fish slice stew very thick and full-flavoured! Yummy!

Pan-Fried Japanese King Scallop

The scallop was really "King" size and succulent with very nice sauce!

Pan-Fried Kurobuta Pork

Surprisingly the meat was very tender and was very well marinated. This was a simple yet fantastic dish!

Poached Vegetables in Superior Soup

I'm not a vegetable lover but when the veg poached into a very flavourful broth, it will make me fall in love with veg at that moment. Haha..

Whole Abalone stirred in Stone Pot with Noodles

I thought they will just use those baby abalone but to my surprise, the abalone was really quite big. The abalone was not that tough and not that tender neither, still ok.. 

Chilled Mango Sago with Pomelo

Their mango sago was not too sweet and not sour, very well mixed!  A nice and refreshing dessert to end the 6-course meal. :)

I really love their chicken chop till the max, very tender meat with very yummy abalone sauce!

Something like fish and chips, complemented very well with their nice thai sauce.

Fried Rice with Abalone

Their fried rice and baby abalone were really dry and hard. I think this is the only dish that is not passable..

Aloe Vera Grass Jelly

Very generous portion of grass jelly, aloe vera, strawberry etc etc. Great dessert!

Overall Impression: The staff were not with much smile but overall ok, very efficient service. Food quality considered quite good here. Another option for a spacious chinese restaurant with quality food at town area!
