Earl Grey Creme Brulee
I'm an earl grey lover so I was attracted by the robust earl grey taste in the creme brulee. But the caramelized sugar crust was a tad too hard..

Classic Chocolate Cremeux

Mango Tart and Fram Boise

Fruit Tart

Black Devil Soft Chocolate

Mascarpone Berry Compote

White Wine Tart

Chocolate Royal Hazelnut Crunch (Signature)
This is the cake that you MUST try when you're at Oscar's! Not too rich chocolate with crunchy yummy hazelnut!

Le Hazel

 Pistachio Polenta Cake
This pistachio cake has a very light fragrant taste that you must try!

Oh I was there a little early that I didn't realize the choco fountain wasn't turned on yet... Haha..

So much chocolate! They really put in effort to vary the taste so you will want to try them ALL!

Raspberry and white chocolate truffles. (I had no clue there was a vanilla hint)

Hot Cheng Teng
For the traditionalists, there's always the all time favourite cheng teng

Green Tea Frozen Yogurt
Self service soft -serve machine. Wafer cones provided too for you to make your perfect ice cream cone.

Hehe, as you can tell, I'm not cut out to serve soft-serve. But the frozen yogurt was light and refreshing. Perfect to enjoy after meal!

Look at all that extra nuts and dried fruit! This apple crumble doesn't let you grumble  :-)

Note: 1 Type of Oyster for Lunch and
4 Types of Oysters for Dinner

New Zealand Freshly Shucked Oysters
Oscar's is very famous for their oysters as they are airflown and freshly shucked! They were so fresh, so creamy, so succulent and melts-in-your-mouth!!! Simply irresistible!!! Oscar's has the most impressive oysters. Taste and selection, they win hands down! I love mine with a touch of tabasco >_<

Asian Hot Selection

Tom Yum Fried Carrot Cake
I was lucky that they have this tom yum carrot cake in their menu that day. I was very impressed by the carrot cake here especially in Tom Yum, such a unique flavour! It was so GOOD that I kept going back for more! The carrot cake cubes were really soft and moist, thoroughly infused with fragrant tom yum. Don't worry it's not too spicy! I've tried many fried carrot cake from different hotels but none of them are this good. So if you see it, please try!

 Steamed Fish with Superior Sauce
The fish here were very fresh and were steamed to perfection. Oh so tender...

Braised Chicken with Sesame Oil
Tender chicken with aromatic sesame oil - It makes me feel like it's home-cooked food!

Black Pepper Beef Fillet

Wok-Fried Tofu with Chicken Floss
I've only tried fried tofu with cereal. So this was my first time having it coated with chicken floss and it's really good!

Mixed Seafood with Ginger & Shallots

Steamed Softbone Pork Ribs with Black Bean Sauce

Market Vegetable

Braised Ee Fu Noodles with Mushrooms & Yellow Chives

Roasted BBQ Station

Salmon with Teriyaki Sauce

Fried Potatoes

 Roasted Chicken with Thyme Jus

 Pasta with Arrabiata Sauce

Lamb Cutlet with Garlic & Tomato

Live Carving Station

Pork Knuckle

Roast Beef

I'm not a sausage fan actually.. But I have to say their German sausage were really awesome! Remember to eat it while it's hot!

Grilled Eggplant with Balsamic Sauce

Polenta Gratin with Mushrooms

Curry of the day (Chicken)

Alfresco Seats

Noodle Bar @Terrace
Their outdoor noodle bar serves steaming bowls of local favourites such as Laksa, Prawn Noodle Soup and Bak Kut Teh (pork rib broth).

I ordered the Laksa and the broth was a little sweet-spicy. I don't really like the broth to be on the sweet side. They probably lowered the level of spiciness to accomodate most tourists that cannot take spicy stuff.

Tea Selection from Ronnefeldt (Germany)
My favourite Earl Grey Tea!

They were generous with the cocoa powder. Nice cappucino!

Overall Impression: The service here was very good - Plates were cleared regularly and the staff were all very polite. Food quality were between average to above average. The prices for the lunch and dinner buffet here is a tad on the high side, compared to other hotel restaurants. (This is mainly due to their freshly shucked oysters here) If you're a big fan of oysters, you must really go for their dinner buffet as they are from 4 different countries! But if you're not really an oyster lover, I would suggest you go for their lunch buffet instead as the prices between lunch and dinner were quite big.

The dessert selection during lunch that day were not that impressive, except the Earl Grey Creme Brulee, Pistachio cake and their signature cake - Chocolate Royal Hazelnut Crunch were great. I went to their festive buffet before, their desserts and food will definitely not disappoint you. Overall we had an enjoyable lunch buffet at Oscar's!

First time seeing unique shape of sugar!

First Course: Tea Mocktail and

Tea Mocktail of that day was Apple Tea! It's always nice to have a welcome drink so as to keep ourselves refreshed first before we started our high tea!

Selection of Crackers with Sambal Belachan

2nd Course: Tea Or Coffee Ceremony
Coffee Selection: Cappucino

Tea Selection: Apple Dreams  - Heard the staff mentioned that this is a very popular choice of tea here. The taste was quite sour type.

3rd Course:
Poached Salmon with Truffle Herbs Sauce
This is the only BEST food here for the weekday high tea. It was poached to perfection, extremely tender inside, complemented very well with the truffle herbs sauce!

4th Course: 3-Tier Tea Set Stand
The scones were decent, nothing impressive...

5th Course: Berries with Bora-Bora Vanilla Cream
6th Course: Lime Sorbet

7th and 8th Course:
(Pass Around Trolley)
Tea Cake and Cookies Selection
Kueh Lapis and Pralines Selection

Only the Pandan Kueh Lapis is nice, very aromatic!

Overall Impression: The ambience was classy and relaxed with the pianist playing soothing tunes.. Service was not bad, all the staff were very polite but not as good as I've expected from Ritz Carlton, as our cups and plates were not cleared for quite long until I asked the staff to clear for us.

And the whole 3-tier tea stand were disappointing.. Nothing impressive from the 3-tier, only the poached salmon from the 3rd course was good and the Pandan Kueh Lapis from the last course.  The prices here definitely is not on par with the food quality expectations. If you're looking for ambience rather than the food quality, you may try here. Otherwise, I would rather you have your afternoon tea at The Landing Point.
