9 Selections of Dessert on 6 July 2015

Creme Brulee

Raspberry Panna Cotta

Lemon tart
This is the most beautiful lemon tart that I've seen so far! The lemon was not too sour with crunchy chocolate tart base. Yummy!

Brownie
Usually I don't like brownie as they're usually hard and dry, but the texture of the brownie here was just right, not too chocolatey that I can finish the whole brownie by myself!

Choux Puff

Earl Grey Mousse
This cake was so pretty, isn't it? Not only the appearance won my heart, the taste won my heart triple!!! It was soft, infused with light aromatic earl grey and chocolate. As this was so light, you won't get sick of it easily. Something like the Antoinette earl grey cake, but I think this was even much better! Must-Try if you get to see this cake there!

Passionfruit Banana
I'm neither a passionfruit nor banana lover. But this cake surprisingly did not turn me off. The banana taste was very mild with quite sour passionfruit and a layer of biscuit crust at the bottom. The overall combination was unique and refreshing!

Chocolate Gateaux
This is their signature cake! The chocolate cake was very rich but very satisfying for chocolate lovers! Love this cake to the max!

So far this is the only hotel that offer creme brulee ice-cream! Good for me as I'm a creme brulee lover!

Mini Chocolate Fondue that looks like a lamp!

9 Selections of Dessert on 25 Sep 2015

Choux Puff

Brownie

Coffee Plantation

Cheese Tart

Earl Grey Mousse

Orange Cake

Chocolate Cream

Creme Brulee

Melon Panna Cotta

Appetizers

Foie Gras Terrine

Cream of Cauliflower
Surprisingly this cauliflower was very nice - Smooth, light and creamy.. A non-vege person like me love this soup too!

Take more clams! They were so fresh with natural sweetness!!

Pan-Seared Snapper with Oriental Vegetables, Double Boil Herbal Soup

The snapper was very tender with very crisp exterior. Especially those meat at the bottom that infused with the aromatic broth, will make you crave for more!!

Baked Farmed Salmon with Leek & Onion Confit, Spicy Miso Glaze
As the snapper was too good, hence this salmon seemed to be a little lacklustre. They were generous with the portion as the salmon given was quite big and thick..Probably it's thick, hence certain portion of the salmon was a little tough, but the rest was really tender.   The spicy miso sauce was a little strong, doesn't complement that well with the baked salmon.

Complimentary 1 Coffee Or Tea (Non-Refillable)

We chose 1 Regular Tea and 1 Regular Coffee on 6 July 2015.

 Latte (Non-Refillable)

Cappucino (Non-Refillable)

Overall Impression: Service was very good. There will be a staff to standby at each section to serve you. If you prefer to have main course first, do let the server know that you want to be serve main course first. Otherwise they will only prepare after you finish the appetizers from the buffet spread.

The dessert buffet used to be nice to look at but cannot make it. But now, all desserts tasted great! Main Course were decent. We were very satisfied with everything here and the air-conditioned has improved too, not warm anymore when we were seated by the window.

Note: No extra charge for window seats during lunch time but there will be an additional charge of $20 during dinner time if you want window seat.

4 Course Set Lunch at Royal Pavilion (Park Regis Singapore, Level 1 - 23 Merchant Road, Near Ministry Of Manpower) Reservation: 6818 8851

Visited on 12 July 2015 (Sun). Royal Pavilion is a 142-seater modern contemporary Cantonese fine-dining restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Chung Ho Shi (Who is a veteran in his industry and formerly from Golden Peony @Conrad Centennial Singapore).

The restaurant has 7 private dining rooms (1 is at the centre of the restaurant). The main center of attraction definitely is the grand crystal chandelier which adds the luxurious touch to the restaurant that you'll find from the photos below.

You can have a seat here first if you arrive before they open. A very relax and cosy area outside Royal Pavilion!

Luxurious settings of the restaurant with a grand chandelier!

These are the back seats.

This is a semi-private room (Small Palace) situated right at the centre of the restaurant under the grand chandelier. I find this setting very unique! If you have 6-7 pax, can try to request for this unique seating.. Half privacy dining experience... :P  If not, they also have a few beautiful private rooms. :)

And this is how it looks like inside the small palace...

Additional Order: 1 Pot of Chrysanthemum Tea for 2 pax - $7.60++

Royal Dim Sum Trio
Left-Right: Spinach Dumpling, Fried Beancurd Roll and Turnip Dumpling aka soon kueh. I like the creation from the chef, to make the soon kueh look like a little rabbit so cutie! This dim sum trio was decent, but the spinach dumpling surprisingly tasted good!

Baked Fillet of Cod with Teriyaki Sauce
Teriyaki sauce is a very popular sauce to be used for cod fillet. But not all terriyaki sauce is nice.. I'm glad that the sauce here did not disappoint us, the sweetness was just right and tasty. There were 3 mini pumpkin cubes underneath to pair with the cod fillet. The cod fillet was not tender enough but the overall taste was still very good!

Hot Pot Pumpkin Porridge with Minced Pork

It was served piping hot, bubbling in the hotstone bowl! Didn't expect this porridge to taste so good though I'm not a pumpkin lover! The pumpkin broth was very thick and flavourful with tender minced meat! Accompanied with a long fried spring onion twister roll! What a great combination! Non-Porridge lovers will love this to the max too!

Chilled lime Lemonade with Aloe Vera and lemongrass Jelly

I like the presentation of their dessert to be placed in a champagne glass. A very refreshing dessert with some plum sauce that tasted a bit sour a bit sweet. A nice ending to our meal!

Overall Impression: Service was quite good - Our tea was refilled regularly. Dishes were served promptly after we finished each course. Rest assured that their food quality is always high!

Complimentary Carpark Coupon is available here!

Their other dishes worth to order:

Royal Smoked Duck (Half - $35++, Whole - $68++)
This is one of Royal Pavilion's signature dish! The skin was super crispy and the duck was smoked with lychee wood and leaves that gives you a very nice aroma! The above photo was in half duck portion...

Carrot Cake with Lao Gan Tie Chili Sauce ($8.80++)
Wow we really love this carrot cake with their special Lao Gan Tie (Old Godfather) chili sauce! The cubes were tender and the taste was a tad spicy, a tad savoury with fragrant fried chili sauce.

Baked Swiss BBQ Snow Bun - $5.50++ (Must Order!)
This is the most popular dim sum here, almost every table will order this and also my most favourite!!! I love the complementary not too sweet char siew filling and the crispy exterior so much! The snow bun is very light that i can finish all by myself! Hehe..

Sauteed Seafood Duo Skewer with Crabmeat & Roe - $14++
Asparagus was used as a skewer here to pierce the hokkaido scallop and the giant prawn. Love the crabmeat roe sauce! Seafood lovers will love this dish!

Mini Egg Tarts ($4.60++)

This was 1 of the BEST egg tarts that i had at chinese restaurants! Very fragrant taste and melted in the mouth type!

*Highly Recommended*
