         Afternoon Tea menu changes regularly...

The main entrance of Fullerton Bay Hotel going towards The Clifford Pier...

Famous Hong Kong Designer (Andre Fu) has transformed the restaurant at the historical Clifford Pier to a grand dining...

This place is simply gorgeous!

Cosy and luxurious interior!

Plush sofa seats for big groups!

Complimentary Nice Keropok on every table - The Prawn flavour ones are really very nice!

This is one of the main attraction to have afternoon tea here - the pianist-singer has a very nice & charming vocal that is very soothing to the ear!!!!! It's a great pleasure to be here to enjoy the lush ballads. Only on Mon-Sat from 3-5pm!

A live Jazz band performance on Sundays from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

This is their Alfresco seatings! It's quite hot during the day but i'm sure this is the best area during night time to watch the laser show from Marina Bay with beautiful night view!

The scones were a tad hard but the taste was ok, got some buttery taste which i like.. Nowadays kaya are getting popular to dip with scones!

Bottom Tier

Second Tier

Top Tier

This is my most favourite item here - Pandan Kaya Cake!

Basically, only the bottom and second tier attracts me. Sorry to say that there's nothing nice on the top tier. The Kueh Lapis at the second tier was very dry and hard which i think you can skip

Overall the afternoon tea items here were average so don't expect anything that is mind-blowing.. But they were very generous to provide so many items for afternoon tea. We feel very full after we finished the 2 tiers, so we have to force ourselves to finish the 3rd tier. Therefore i think no refill of the items is needed unless you're a super big eater..

As for the service, there were some hits and misses from the waitresses. Only the manager (Elvin) provides the best service which was worth to mention on that day!

I think the main attraction to dine here is the lavish ambience rather than the food. But somehow it's a pity that the local hawker fare does not fit into the classy ambience here... This gorgeous restaurant should serve fine dining food or at least serve other types of food rather than hawker fare. Anyway it's really a very romantic place so i will definitely come back again. Hope the chef will continue to improve in the food quality and creativity!

In the evenings, a three- or four-piece band will indulge your senses from 7.00pm to 10.00pm daily as you savour The Clifford Pier’s signature dishes or handcrafted cocktails.

Revisited on 27 July 2014 (Sun) to try their ala carte items.

We shared a plate of Fried Char Kway Teow but to our disappointment, the sauce was too sweet and the standard was not even close to those found in popular hawker centres.

Fried Char Kway Teow - $16++

Pandan Ice Cream Sandwich - $12++
The Pandan Ice Cream was marvellous! It was very smooth and creamy with the fragrance of Pandan and complemented the soft rainbow sandwich! It's very rare to find such a nice Pandan ice cream else where in Singapore. I'm glad to find it at The Clifford Pier! A very wonderful dessert to make you end with a smile! :-)

Take a peek at their dessert menu!

*Recommended for the ambience, food needs improvement*

Dim Sum Lunch at Majestic Bay Seafood Restaurant (18 Marina Gardens Drive, #01-10, Flower Dome, Gardens By The Bay) Reservation: 6604 6604

It's such a hassle to make reservation through phone - Book now through Chope for Instant Reservations!

Visited on 28 June 2014 (Sat). Chef Yong Bing Ngen who has 30 years of experience under his belt, is the Chef-owner of three restaurants in Singapore (Majestic Restaurant, Jing @One Fullerton and his latest venture - Majestic Bay Seafood restaurant)

Though Majestic Bay is not a popular place for dim sum and the dim sum selection is quite limited BUT to my surprise, they have creativity and quality that will definitely delight your tastebuds! (Helmed by the dim sum chef - Guang-zhou born Chef Li Shou Tao)

Die Die must try their Signature Seared Chilli Crab Meat Bun!

Note: They have 2 seatings here on the weekends.

First seating: 11.30am - 1.30pm. Second seating: 1.30pm to 3pm.

We were here at 11.30am for the first seating to avoid noisy when it's crowded.

This is the exterior of Majestic Bay, like a glass house so exquisite!

15% off for Citibank card members on all ala carte food bill!

You will see this live seafood tank at the entrance to let customers select their catch of the day before it is freshly prepared for them.

Their bar counter

Located below the Flower Dome, Majestic Bay Seafood restaurant is inspired by the luxurious waterfront views of Marina Bay. You will find the restaurant in white and blue theme that reminiscent of a ship deck.

Love their vibrant aquamarine interior as well as the abundance of natural light from floor to ceiling glass panels!

There're only 3 good tables for 2 seater. First is the sofa seat here, 2nd is at the other end of this sofa seat.

3rd is this table - The one and only 2 seater by the window to enjoy scenic view of nature...

Taken inside the restaurant from our window seat!

Taken outside the restaurant!

Table for big groups behind..

With 2 seater sofa seat at a corner for the big table

Chrysanthemum Tea in a pot for 2 persons at $6! I like their chrysanthemum tea, it's not those cheapo type, very nice! Cannot stand some other restaurants who serves very watery or very light type of tea...

Braised Mola Mola "Ocean Sunfish Maw", Fresh Crab Meat, Angle Luffa, Thicken Yellow Soup ($16 per person)

Wow the soup very thick and was so flavorful with chunks of fresh crab meat! Die Die must order this soup when you're here! Super Nice!!!

Steamed Custard Bun, Salted Egg Yolk ($4.80 for 3 pcs)

Though the bun is not that fluffy, but i can tell you the liu sha bao here is really mind blowing! The bun is soft and the taste is super good! I don't know how to describe how fragrant it is but it's really very very fragrant and the custard filling inside the bun is finger-licking good! Wish that they can be a bit more generous with the custard filling...

Signature Seared Chilli Crab Meat Bun ($5.50 for 3 pcs)
Crab lovers favourite! A good way to have our chilli crab without getting our hands dirty! Love the sesame seeds coated atop the bun with not too spicy crab meat filling! Inside the bun was soft but the exterior was not crispy enough and kindly be more generous with the filling since the price has increased to $5.50 now... This dim sum was very light so you won't get sick of it easily. You must eat it immediately while it's hot - Really yummy!!! The Must Order item each time you go to Majestic Bay. Thumbs Up!

Steamed Yellow Duckling, Chocolate, Yam Stuffing ($4.80/pc)
Handmade Yellow Duckling Bun filled with Nutella and Yam Paste. I was a little taken aback when i see this little cutie duckling infront of me especially when i'm going to eat it.. In the end i asked my partner to eat the head with the eyes & mouth while i ate the back.. Hahaha! Don't be surprised that this tasted sooooo nice!!!! Never did i know nutella and yam paste can complement so well! Another Must Order item when you're here!

Crispy Pancake, Prawns, Pork, Vegetables ($5.50)

Finally a savoury dim sum! Omg this dim sum was equally fantastic! Very crispy exterior with savoury prawns, pork & vegetables inside. Yummy Yummy!

Steamed Siew Mai Dumpling with Pork ($4.80 for 4pcs)
I'm so happy that here they serve siew mai in 4 pcs rather than other restaurants serve only 3 pcs! I love their Siew Mai as well - The skin was not rough, just nice and the shrimps inside were very succulent! Except it was a tad quite salty...

Steamed Honey Pork Bun ($4.50 for 3pcs)

The bun was soft but this was quite average and plain

Baked Egg Tarts ($4.20 for 3 pcs)
The egg tarts here were quite average. Lack of some fragrance...

Essence of Mango Puree ($6)

I like this dessert as the mango is not sour with some chendol strips inside to make the dessert more delightful!

Don't forget to bring them home near the entrance before you leave the restaurant! For takeaways!

I'm very satisfied and happy dining here! Got the best seat with nature view.. Their dim sum and soup was really special and excellent!!! Hope they can create more splendid dim sum and have wider selection.

Service was quite good as well, our tea was refilled promptly and plates were cleared regularly. Got 1 staff answered my queries patiently even though i asked quite many.. Haha!

But do note that dinner time will be mostly full house, so the place will be quite noisy and the service may not be as good as daytime. So i would prefer to dine here during lunch time and will definitely come back again frequently! :)

*Highly Recommended*
