Visited on 14 April 2016 (Thurs). Award-winning Stellar (Helmed by Group Executive Chef - Christopher Millar) serves modern cuisine with an artisanal mode of preparation. This is one of the highest restaurants that stands at a peak of 282 meters up high in Singapore, boasting a spectacular panoramic view of the City and MBS! An ideal place for business lunch, special occasions, a romantic date or marriage proposals!

Enjoy sea view by the window!

Charcoal bread (Supplement $8++)
This is a must order item in Stellar! The BEST Charcoal bread that we had! Very crisp exterior with very fluffy interior, in addition to a very aromatic taste that will make u linger for more bread please.. It will be so wonderful if I can have such a nice bread for my breakfast every morning! Hahaha...

Complimentary First Amuse Bouche
(Salmon on a Baguette with Beetroot)

Complimentary 2nd Amuse Bouche
(Canelle Fruit with Capsicum)

Appetiser: Twice Baked Gruyere Souffle, Truffle Salad

This is a very popular appetiser as I noticed most of the tables ordered this. I guessed most people love to eat baked souffle especially twice baked! Double crunchy outside while fluffy inside. Complemented so well with the melted cheese! Cheese lovers will love this to the max!

Served alongside was this nice truffle salad!

Roast Kuhlbarra Barramundi, Kalamata Olives, Capsicum, Parmesan Pommes Dauphine

Parmesan Pommes Dauphine are cheesy crisp potato puffs made by mixing mashed potatoes with savoury choux pastry and deep-frying them. I really wanted to compliment their potato puffs, they were so good that I really wish to have the whole plate full of these! Haha.. The barramundi was quite tender, complemented very well with the potato puffs! Thumbs up for this dish!

Stellar Dessert Bar
Note: No more dessert bar since Sep 2016
Now only comes with 1 dessert in the set menu

Ricotta Cheesecake

Baileys Tiramisu
I was lucky that they have this baileys tiramisu in April that time. The alcohol was really strong and the cake was very soft. Overall it was incredibly great!!

White Chocolate Creme de Pot (Mini Pots)
I just love to see dessert in biscuit cone! Very nice white chocolate creme! Yummy!

Ginger Passionfruit Pudding (Shooters)
I don't like ginger. But the ginger passionfruit here made me kept went back for more!

Nicely Cut Fruits

Rum & Raisin Macarons

Strawberry Earl Grey Cake
This was my first time to try Earl Grey with Strawberry cake and it works pretty well! The only gripe which I do not like, it was served frozen.

Crepes Live Station
They have very nice crepes that comes with chocolate sauce inside the crepe. I think I had 5 of them! Hehe...

Bread & Butter Pudding with Cheese Sauce

Overall Impression: Window seat is for first come first serve basis as they don't take in special seat requests. However, they only have 1 table for 2 pax by the window. So it's not easy to get a window seat here for 2 pax unless you arrive very early.

It's been 2 years since I've last visited Stellar and I'm glad that Stella has never disappoint me in terms of food and their dessert bar quality. I'm really impressed with their high quality desserts as there is no other place that can impress me with all their desserts till now.

Main Course and Appetisers were equally good as well! I've nothing to complain about this place. Most fine dining food are costly & not filling. So I really like their concept of making the last course dessert to be a dessert bar for lunch. We get to try different variety of dessert & will not leave the restaurant still hungry. I hope more fine dining restaurants will have a mini dessert bar selection like Stellar too! It would be perfect if coffee or tea were included in the course as well. Fine Dining ambience with good and efficient service as well as high quality food and dessert bar! As they only have the dessert bar in buffet style on weekday lunch, so I will take leave specially in order to dine here. Hahaha.. Thumbs up Stellar!

Mediterranean Sea Bass

The sea bass was quite tender with strong charred taste on the skin. Not bad dish but can you see the whole dish colour looked very dull together with the courgettes.. Perhaps the chef should take note of the colour presentation. If the colour of the fish is already so dark, shouldn't paired with dull side dish colour...

Oven-Baked Spring Chicken
The meat was bland and a tad tough.

Overall Impression: The service here was quite good except there were a few times that I couldn't get the staff's attention. Though there were 10 dessert selections, but I just don't fancy these type of desserts that they served at One-Ninety except the soy bean panna cotta. (This is my own preferences, nothing to do with their dessert quality). Appetisers were ok. Overall the appetiser and dessert selection were quite boring. perhaps the dinner buffet will be more sumptuous.

The quality of their Main Course were decent, nothing impressive. Presentation of the food were also lacklustre. We were a tad disappointed with their food quality and presentation. Most likely we will not return again.
