3-Course Set Lunch at Ocean Restaurant by Cat Cora (Resorts World Sentosa - S.E.A. Aquarium, Level B1M) Reservation: 6577 6869 / 6577 6688

Visited on 14 June 2015 (Sun). Ocean Restaurant was opened by Cat Cora - renowned celebrity chef and the first female Iron Chef in Singapore.



3-Course Set Lunch (Starter + Main + Dessert) = $55++ per person.

With the restaurant located inside the S.E.A. Aquarium, diners can savour a magnificent view of the Open Ocean habitat whilst enjoying a truly memorable dining experience. This is a place that everyone should come at least once to experience this amazing dining concept!

Admission to Ocean Restaurant is via West Zone Carpark, B1M. Diners can park near Equarius Hotel.

You can choose to have the 3 Course Set lunch at $55++ per person or order ala carte items with the prices indicated at each category. Note: There is a minimum spending of $38++ per person.





Starter: Fried Brown Crab in Brick

This was the BEST Starter that I had among several fine-dining restaurants! The crab cake was fried to perfection - Loads of real succulent crab meat inside with crispy exterior that has won my heart!!! They made it look like a brick like those brick games we've used to play. Haha!



Main Course: Crispy Duck Leg Confit


The meat of the duck leg confit was a tad not tender enough but the overall taste was quite good, paired with 3 little cutie chestnuts!




Main Course: Crispy Skin Barramundi 
I enjoyed this crispy exterior with tender and juicy barramundi!



Dessert: Chocolate Delights
Wow I love this chocolate dessert so much! You can savour both chocolate as well as salty cocoa but this was quite rich.




They will provide a complimentary slice of birthday cake if you mention it upon reservation. Of course the cake tasted great as well! :)




Overall Impression: Service was quite good. The 3-Course Set lunch did not disappoint us, really lives up to the name of Iron Chef Cat Cora! Every dish is delightful and dining in front of the ocean really can make a person feel relax thoroughly!

The prices of their set dinner are around 3 times higher than the set lunch as there're 5-Course in the set dinner. So if you would like to try this place at a more affordable price, do come for their lunch. The restaurant is quite small, remember to make a reservation first before you go.

Visited on 6 June 2015 (Sat). Szechuan Court is renowned for serving some of the finest Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine in Singapore. This chinese restaurant exude oriental charm and elegance with enchanting fuschia and red interior! To be honest, I was captivated by the lovely deco to dine here! Indeed the restaurant is really beautiful and very big with a few private rooms!

Thick soup of Sea Cucumber, Dried Scallop and Fish Maw
The soup was quite flavorful but was not thick enough.



Steamed Pork and Prawn Dumpling with Dried Scallop

The siew mai was very tasty with dried scallop atop. The pork was very tender but with little prawns inside.



Baked Barbecued Pork Pastry with Sesame
I like the generous sesame atop to enhance the exterior fragrance. But a little too big to consume though...



Steamed Egg Custard Cake
This was very disappointing. The cake was very dry, not fluffy at all and hard. Please skip this!



Sauteed Diced Chicken with Dried Chilli & Peanut
The diced chicken was very tender with sweet & sour sauce. The portion was very generous with lots of cashew nuts!



Crispy Skin Roasted Pork and Honey Glazed Barbecued Pork
The roasted pork was alright but the char siew was dry, hard and looked pale....




Crispy Chicken Wing with Shrimp Paste
Super crispy chicken wing with quite salty and robust shrimp paste!




Deep-Fried Beancurd Topped with Cereal
This was good!




Baked Chocolate Puff
Wow I really love the chocolate puff here! Nice presentation + I love those icing sugar atop the puff. The chocolate was not overly sweet too. Overall a very nice dessert!!







Lychee with Jelly

I like the jelly very refreshing, tasted like aloe vera very nice!

Overall Impression: The service here was quite good, plates were mostly cleared promptly. The desserts here are very ordinary, hope the chef can be more creative. Food quality was decent with nice ambience and good service, Szechaun Court is still worth a visit!

One thing about Szechuan Court is they were very generous with the food portion. Though we have only 2 pax, but the food portion was always given for about 3-4 pax portion. If you're not a big eater, do ask them to give smaller portion in order not to waste the food.
