 One Farrer Hotel

The grand walkway to the restrooms!

Lift lobby

My first time to see plant displayed inside the hotel lift which is very unique. It makes the lift look more grand!

Outside Escape restaurant

And finally... Escape restaurant & lounge!

I like the dinner ambience here!

Romantic!

This is the most interesting thing that i must show! Their finger bowl (To rinse your fingers after having seafood) is a bowl with huge fingers on it so that you won't confuse it with your drinking cup. Hahaha what a unique bowl they have right?

They have Free Flow of TWG Singapore Breakfast Tea! The tea was aromatic, I love it!

And Free Flow of French Press Regular Coffee! They really have very unique french press!

Singapore Chilli Crab

Everyone's favourite - Singapore Chilli Crab! I like the gravy very much, very aromatic with sweet-spicy taste!

Mapo Tofu with Minced Chicken

Kong Bo Chicken with Cashew Nuts

The chicken was a tad tough and the sauce was quite sour...

Sayur Lodeh

Nonya Sotong

 Ayam Panggang

The laksa gravy was decent... I find it not thick enough..

I cannot take beef and the pizza here was always with beef so i didn't get to try...

Seafood On Ice

Dessert Station

The bread & butter pudding was very nice, kept inside the small oven to keep warm!

Cheng Teng

Wow i'm amazed by the cheng teng here! It was soooo nice that i don't know how to describe! Haha..

Note: They will bring out new desserts when some of the old desserts finished.. So don't leave the restaurant too fast!

Durian pengat! Not as good as Straits Cafe @Rendevous...

Overall Impression: The food were mostly decent. They have quite nice desserts here! I have nothing to complain about their service as they always provide the BEST Service! Keep it up! If you're looking for nice ambience with not bad food, unique free flow French Press coffee and TWG Tea + good service, this is the place for you!

(CLOSED DOWN) November 8 Coffee & Company (11, Sin Ming Road #01-30 Thomson V Two, Singapore 575629) Reservation: 6554 4388

Visited on 22 Oct 2014 (Wed) - Public Holiday. November 8 is a hipster cafe hidden in Thomson V Two Condominium building - (A mixed commercial & private residential development located along the junction of Sin Ming Road & Upper Thomson Road).

November 8 Cafe is hidden inside this L1 arcade!

The cafe has been around since late 2013 but i only came to know about this place recently through the Channel 8 drama "Against The Tide - é€†æ½®". (7th Photo below)

The cafe is very spacious with a rustic feel! Here are the front seats...

And here are the cosy corner seats at the back...

A screenshot for you to recall this place if you have watched this drama "Against The Tide- é€†æ½®"

This is their cashier counter and open kitchen.

Common Man Coffee Roasters beans were used here!

Latte (Large - $5.50)
Wow the coffee here was really super strong, thick and super bitter! Will definitely wake you up!

Big Breakfast ($19.50)

Bacon, Gourmet Pork Sausage, Gourmet York Ham, Honey Ham, Tomato, Sautéed Mushroom & Roasted Potato served on Focaccia Bread with Scrambled Eggs.

I must say all the combination here were great! Scrambled eggs were cooked to almost perfection (melted in the mouth) except it tasted a tad bland. Pork sausage was very peppery - I like!  Focaccia Bread was soft & the rest of the items were very nice too. Nothing much to complain. A very filling & delightful breakfast!

Thai Iced Tea Waffle ($10.50)
Waffle with Thai Iced Tea Gelato ice cream & homemade Gula Meleka Sauce. I'm not really a waffle fan but I must say - Wow, i was really impressed with their waffle when i had my first bite on it! It was slightly crisp at the outside but fluffy inside with very aromatic gula melaka sauce and icing sugar on it! As for the Thai Iced Tea ice-cream, we were a tad disappointed as it did not have any robust taste, the taste of the iced tea was too mild...

Overall Impression:

I'm not sure about weekdays but during the weekends & public holidays, this cafe is always crowded and noisy within 30mins after they opened at 12pm. There is No GST and No Service Charge! The service here was average as there is no service charge.

Do quickly place your order once you're seated as the waiting time for the food is around 30mins time! Their food & waffle quality were indeed 1 of the BEST among the cafes! So we gotta be a little more patient to wait for the nice food...

OZ Specialty Coffee (Now Known As "Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters" - 185 Upper Thomson Road, Singapore 574333)

Visited on 12 Oct 2014 (Sun) - The last day of OZ operating at Thomson V Two! This is a very small cafe that has only 5 seats for indoor and a few tables for outdoor. Due to their great coffee and food, they have more & more customers that this cafe can no longer take,.which is why they need to move to a much bigger place at 185 Upper Thomson Rd. (Just around 6 mins away from Thomson V Two)

Note: The photos below are from their old location and the menu was totally different at their new store.

Interior with 5 wall-facing seats

Their outdoor seating with few tables

Their speciality is coffee and they used Pacamara Coffee Roaster beans that you must try.

Flat White (Large -$5.50)
Wow their coffee was mellow and aromatic that will definitely wake you up!

Mocha Waffles ($10.90)
Belgium Mocha Waffles paired with premium vanilla ice-cream & mini jug of espresso drizzled in African red chocolate sauce, cocoa powder, & toasted almond slices. The Belgium waffle was aromatic & buttery with a mini jug of espresso for you to pour onto the waffles to enhance the taste - Very innovative! Sad to know that they have removed the waffles from their menu at their new store.. :(

Salmon Platter ($18)
There were a total of 6 slices of smoked salmon + multi grained toast + buttered scrambled eggs + Tri-floral honey in a jar + salad. The smoked salmon was very nice with generous serving of well cooked scrambled egg! The whole platter was satisfactory.

This is their new place at 185 Upper Thomson Road
