Elegant Ambience

Love the Antoinette ceiling light so much!

New Menu

Bread & Butter ($5++)
We started off with this bread selection that consist of satay bacon epi, levain, baguette, 5-spice escargot and croissant. They were served with two types of hand made butter. I personally like satay bacon epi as the taste was very unique.

Omelette with Shrimps, Lobster Bisque Sauce, Pilaf Rice ($22++)
When I saw this dish in the menu, I thought it's just a normal shrimp with egg that we ate at home or zichar stall. But to my surprise, the chef has turned this ordinary dish into an upscale dish. The omelette was very fluffy, with fresh shrimps and marvellous lobster bisque on it! Even the rice they used was unique, it makes a difference! Now I know why it cost $22!  My favourite dish here now!

Hakka Gnocchi ($24++)
(with Dried Shrimp, Foie Gras, Cured Pork, Morel)

A colourful presentation of the traditional Hakka dish "Abacus Seeds - Suan Pan Zi". There were 10 pieces of gnocchi here with 4 types of different gnocchi created (Yam, Sweet Potato, Purple Sweet Potato, Beetroot)  Each gnocchi was tender and full of flavour. The cured pork and dried shrimp had hints of foie gras and peppery taste which gave it a tangy bite with every mouthful. You have to try this!

Chili Crab Arancini (3pcs, $16++)
(with Sea Asparagus Salad, Chinese Bun)

Arancini is an Italian dish consisting of risotto balls stuffed with a savoury filling, coated in breadcrumbs and fried. The risotto balls were deep-fried into golden brown with melted cheese inside. Of course the main highlight is the home made chili crab sauce. It's a little spicy for me but the taste was great. Even the sea asparagus salad was so appetizing...What a great combination. Definitely an awesome Italian dish with a local twist!

Pandan Ice-Cream Dessert ($14++)
with Foam, Sponge, Caviar, Salted Gula Melaka, Rusks

The pandan ice-cream was very very fragrant, thick and rich which I love very much! It complemented so well with the lime foam, pieces of sponge and salted gula melaka sauce. The overall presentation of this local dessert indeed very captivating, that is a big plus point too. Served alongside was a small piece of pandan kaya toast. This was the most special heritage dessert that I've had! A very delightful and satisfying dessert to end the meal!

Brunch Menu till 6pm

Antoinette's breakfast with a choice of drink ($25++)
Note: Add $3 for scrambled eggs = ($28++)
My choice of egg is Scrambled. This is the BEST Scrambled egg that i had among so many restaurants! It was very fluffy and smooth.. I don't like sausage so i requested to change into ham. Served with grilled bacon as well as Basket of Viennoiseries below and a choice of Orange Juice/Coffee/Hot Chocolate.. Wonderful All Day Breakfast Set!

They served very good coffee here!

Florentine Savory Crepe ($18++)
Another of my favourite! Served with Serrano ham, Emmental cheese, sunny side up with hollandaise sauce. Remember to try this!

Antoinette ($10+)
 This is my favourite and also their most popular signature cake called "Antoinette"!  Milk chocolate mousse infused with earl grey tea, chocolate biscuit, dark chocolate earl grey tea cremeux, raspberry coulis and earl grey tea crumble. You can taste the light Earl grey inside the rich chocolate mousse with chocolate biscuit at the bottom. Poke the raspberry coulis to help relieve the richness of the chocolate. A very satisfying dessert for chocolate lovers!

Overall Impression: The food & dessert at Antoinette were definitely above average quality, which is why the prices are slightly on the high side! The service here used to be very good... But I noticed most of the staff were changed, sometimes the service might not be as good as you expected, especially when it is full house. The atmosphere and music was very relaxing. This is the only cafe that is worth going back again and again! :)
