Visited on 28 March 2015 (Sat). Spice Brasserie is an all day dining restaurant which offers extensive A La Carte and buffet selections such as Teochew porridge counter, live stations and a Japanese sushi bar, complemented with a tantalising variety of appetisers and desserts.
When I was at Spice Brasserie during March 2015, their kitchen is under renovation. So they were having Nostalgic Steamboat buffet from March to 30th June 2015. Enjoy Quality Steamboat Buffet at affordable prices + Cosy Hotel Ambience + Good and Friendly Service from the Manager and Staff !
The buffet will also feature an array of Teow Chew Porridge favourites and nostalgic local dishes from the 1950s as well as a plethora of desserts.
You can help yourselves with the coffee and tea at the beverages counter
I love this row of sofa seats with water feature beside!
The restaurant is helmed by Executive Chef Low Hoe Kiat!

Love their wok-fried peppery crayfish! Yummy!
Yam Cake
Wide Variety of Dessert
The center pandan cake in the left photo was tasteless (totally not sweet), maybe they forgot to add sugar in it that day?
This white chocolate cake was so beautifully made and unique! The taste was also quite good with my favourite biscuit at the bottom!
Pengat Pisang
This was too sweet....
Choose from five flavourful soup bases:
Lobster, Tom Yum, Bak Kut Teh, Herbal and Chicken soup.
And we chose Lobster Soup! The lobster soup was very very tasty! But be prepared to get thirsty easily after the soup boiled for quite some time.
Requested to have sampling on the other 4 soup base, and our vote still goes to Lobster, as well as herbal!
Additional order of Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice at $10++
The clams here were very big and fresh!
Overall Impression: We enjoyed dining at Spice Brasserie as the restaurant was very spacious with relaxing feel - The feeling is like having steamboat at home! We only pay $50 nett for the steamboat lunch buffet for 2 pax with credit card promotion which is very worth it!
The seafood were very fresh, I like their fish fillet and wok-fried crayfish the most! As I'm a super dessert lover, so I have high expectations on dessert. Sad to say the quality of the dessert here did not impress me, they were mostly decent. Hope to see more improvements in their dessert next time.
