Shutters is a chic all-day dining restaurant located within Amara Santuary Resort Sentosa. Shutters serves contemporary Asian and Western cuisine and diners can watch the food prepared by chefs in an open-concept kitchen. The restaurant boasts a romantic outdoor terrace area with a breathtaking view of the Amara skylight feature. Lets take a look at the surrounding first before we move on to the restaurant.
This is the hotel lobby - a very simple lobby....
But i'm surprised to see this at their lobby - We can help ourselves with the Kachang Puteh & Free Flow of Flavoured Water & their signature Iced Tea counter! I really missed seeing Kachang Puteh before the days of movie popcorn.....
Take this path with the waterfall and turn right to take the lift up to Shutters
Take note of peacocks at the surrounding! (Can see the peacock perched atop the roof?) :P
Glass Pavilion for romantic wedding or event location
I like the ambience of the restaurant - It was very very cosy and peaceful. Suitable for couples on a romantic date or for those who want some peace to have your meal away from the city! :)
This is their bar counter!
Open concept kitchen!
Their private dining room area
This is the alfresco seatings..
The bread here was not that nice (Quite dry and hard)
Boston Lobster Bisque
I like the taste, it was thick but it was a tad too salty and not warm enough..
Duck Confit
It was very crispy on the outside and some parts of the meat inside was really melt in the mouth! Only certain part of the meat was a tad tough and it was quite salty too, otherwise it will be perfect! Overall I like their duck confit!
Chempadak Creme Brulee
My first time having Jackfruit creme brulee! The jackfruit taste was quite strong and you can eat the jackfruit pengat inside - overall i like the taste! This dessert is either you love it or you hate it... Not everyone can take this taste i think..
Overall the food here was really quite good except for some minor issues. Their service was impeccable as well! We haven started with the bread and the soup already served so fast! So i told the server to serve our meal slowly and they really communicated with each other. The other staff really came to check with me first if they can serve the next course. This is what i called impeccable service - They listen and they did it! Besides the service, they were also very polite, made us feel the whole dining experience was a very good one!
Oh we were very lucky that while we were leaving the carpark at 8.02pm, there was quite a long fireworks right in front of us - I think the fireworks were from Universal Studios! This make the dinner even more worthwhile! :D
