Visited on 2 Sep 2017 and Revisited on 21 Oct 2017 (Sat). Brasserie Les Saveurs offers contemporary French cuisine with floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooking the tropical gardens and sparkling pool. The glittering enormous three hand-cut crystal chandeliers exudes elegant ambience.

There are 2 private dining rooms here!

Mushroom Veloute

Chicken Salad

Although I'm not a salad lover, but I love the way they present the chicken salad into a small bottle. Their unique presentation made me grab 1 bottle to try. Haha.. This chicken salad not only pleasing to the eye but also the palette. :)

Japanese Station

 Wide Variety of Bakery Selection

Duck Rillette

You will be greeted by these lovely desserts as you enter the entrance of the restaurant! There are around 10 dessert selections, excluding ice-cream and chocolate fountain. This is the only hotel restaurant that offers wide variety dessert selection for semi-buffet, the main reason for me to visit again and again! :)

Coffee & Azuki Bean Panna Cotta

Bandung Rose Jelly

Fruit Tart

Pandan Kaya Cake

Chocolate Mousse Tart

Chocolate Kopi C

Berries of the Wood

Angel Food Cake

Yuzu & Apple Cake

Premium Quality Ice-Cream Selection on 2 Sep 2017
Vanilla / Hazelnut / Coconut / Lemon Sorbet

Premium Quality Ice-Cream Selection on 21 Oct 2017
Vanilla / Pistachio / Chocolate / Coconut Ice-Cream
They have really nice coconut ice-cream with coconut flakes on it!!

Fruits in pretty petite glass on 21 Oct 2017

Nicely Cut Fruits on 21 Oct 2017

Select 1 Main Course from the Selection
(Menu changes once in every few months)

Seabass
The seabass was tender and flavourful!

Roasted Half Spring Baby Chicken

I did not enjoy this dish. The meat was tough and it tasted bland.

Oven-Roasted Norwegian Salmon

So far this is one of the better main course among the rest! From the exterior super char skin appearance, I thought the salmon was going to be tough. But to my surprise, the meat was tender and tasty with extremely crispy skin!

Complimentary 1 Round of Coffee Or Tea Selection
So far this is the only hotel restaurant that uses this premium Italian Roast Coffee - Julius Meinl. This is another reason to make me come back! :)

Overall Impression: You can expect top-notch service here. The most high class hotel restaurant in Singapore! But I still see quite a few people wearing T-shirt with bermudas, which doesn't suit the "atas" ambience here.

The food quality for the main course were quite good but not that fantastic, still needs some improvements. Their desserts not only looks lovely but tasted great! Just that, this is a French restaurant but don't know why most of the desserts were quite local style.. Haha.. The price is slightly on the high side, but with the Peaceful & Elegant Ambience + Nice Desserts + Quite Good Main Course + Very Good Coffee + Top-Notch Service, it's definitely worth it! Will definitely come back again!

Visited on 5 Aug 2017 (Sat) & Revisited on 12 Aug 2017 (Sat) . Ash & Elm is the new modern European restaurant that took over Olive Tree. Ash & Elm comprises three culinary theatres including a charcuterie and cheese room, wood-fired oven and an open charcoal-grill kitchen.

Semi-Buffet Lunch (Monday to Saturday, 12pm to 3pm) :

$28++ per person (Appetizer, Soup & Dessert Buffet)

$38++ per person (Choice of 1 Main Course + Appetizer, Soup & Dessert Buffet)

$48++ per person (Choice of 1 Main Course (Beef Option) + Appetizer & Dessert Buffet)

A very spacious and elegant European restaurant!

This is their bar counter at the front. They serve illy coffee here!

Cosy Corner table behind!

Cheese & Charcuterie Room near the entrance

Wood-Fired Flat Bread Station

Wood Fired Flat Bread is their specialty -
You can order it ala-carte

Bread Selection
The flat bread on the far right is the most popular bread here. Sprinkled with some sea salt and herbs, the taste and texture is simply wonderful!

Salad & Appetiser Station

Smoked Chicken

Shrimps

Tomato with Mozzarella Cheese

Tzatziki with Dutch Cucumber

Pasta / Mushroom Salad

Spiced Cauliflower Salad

Polenta with Sweet Corn

Scallop Salad with Seaweed, Mango & Capsicum

 Mushroom Soup

Barley Corn Soup

The mushroom soup was great but the barley corn soup tasted sourish which I do not like.

Dessert Station

Red Velvet

Mango Shortcake

Berries Creameux Tart
Chocolate Eclair

Manjari Mousse

Chocolate Royale

Baked Banana Strudel

Mini Chocolate Fondue with Marshmallows & Fruits

Green Tea Crepe

It's not easy to find green tea crepe in hotel buffets, so I was extremely delighted to see this here! But do note that their menu is on rotation so you will only see this when you're lucky! Otherwise it will be the normal plain crepe. I have tried both green tea and the plain one, indeed green tea crepe has a more fragrant taste!

Chocolate / Almond
Green Tea / Black Sesame

So shiok to have green tea crepe with green tea ice-cream! For all green tea lovers out there! :-D

This is the interactive kitchen where they prepare our main course dishes!

Drinks Menu

Main Course Selection Menu on 5 Aug 2017
(Note: Menu is on rotation)

My Choice of Main Course:
Duck Leg Confit
As we're not very big eaters, so we only ordered 1 Main Course to share, since we still have the buffet items. Their menu for main courses are on rotation. If you happen to see the menu with duck leg confit, don't forget to try it! It was crisp at the outside and melt-in-the-mouth inside! This cost you only additional of $10. What a steal....

Additional order of 1 Latte & 1 Cappucino
at $8++ each
1 of my favourite coffee brands - illy coffee!

Like and follow Ash and Elm on Facebook and you can receive a complimentary cocktail! A good reason to become a fan of Ash and Elm! :P

Totally Different Dessert Buffet Selection
when we revisited on the following Sat, 12 Aug 2017

Raspberry Cheesecake with Digestive Cookies

Vanilla Panna Cotta

Tiramisu

Lychee Raspberry Tart

Green Tea Mango Passion Verrine

Black Forest

Apricot Bread Butter Pudding

Normal Plain Crepe

Main Course Selection Menu on 12 Aug 2017
(Note: Menu is on rotation)

My Choice of Main Course on 12 Aug 2017:
Steamed Black Cod Fillet

The chef was very good at controlling the temperature of the steamed black cod. The skin was very crisp, with extremely silky smooth cod. By looking at the photo, you can see how tender it was... Complemented so well with the lemon butter sauce! Awesome!!!

Overall Impression: We have visited 2 times, and both our visits were very nice and warm as we were served by the manager, Athiban! On top of being attentive and efficient, he was also always very cheerful and likes to joke. This made our dining experiences very enjoyable!

Overall the service was great, except it sometimes took them a bit long to clear some of our plates whereby the restaurant was not full house. The food quality was beyond our expectations and we could feel that they had put thought into the items they served. Though the selection was not really big, you can taste the quality.  I think its enough to make me feel so full too. Ambience was elegant and comfortable and the service staff were friendly and polite.

If you wish to find a place with small scale semi-buffet + reasonable price + high quality food + great hotel service and ambience, I think Ash & Elm has it all. But do note that this is a semi buffet lunch without seafood, which is why the price is more affordable. I will definitely recommend Ash & Elm to all my readers here!
